Blue Valley Recreation Commission named Jason Goin as the facility supervisor for the new indoor recreation facility being built at the Blue Valley School District’s Hilltop Campus. Most recently, Goin served as the director of the Spring Hill Recreation Commission. Goin officially began his duties in late March as the facility is scheduled to open this fall.

A graduate of Kansas State University, Goin is actively involved in the parks and recreation profession. He earned accreditation as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and completed Kansas Recreation and Park Association’s (KRPA) Tomorrow’s Leader program. In addition, he continued his education through the National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA) Revenue School.

“Jason brings a multi-faceted experience base from his years in the profession,” said Blue Valley Rec executive director Steve Baysinger. “He has high energy and a commitment to excellence with a strong drive to serve the citizens our community.”

Goin will manage the indoor facility that includes an indoor run/walk track, eight basketball courts, eight volleyball courts, at least four pickle ball courts, and a fitness center. He will also oversee programming and staff throughout the facility.

“I'm excited to be a part of a great organization and to bring such a great facility to the Blue Valley area,” said Goin. “The facility is a positive addition to the community for health and wellness while also meeting programming needs for current and future Blue Valley Rec activities.”
