Business Basics in a Day

  

This day-long seminar will cover the basics of starting a small business, including determining whether your idea is feasible, creating a business plan, choosing a legal entity, forming financial projections, marketing, developing a web presence, and bookkeeping. Guest presenters will include an attorney, a commercial banker and an accountant. Entrepreneurs will share their stories during a panel discussion with an opportunity for questions. Exhibition: Illuminating the Queer Experience

The InterUrban ArtHouse, in conjunction with Electrosexual, presents a showing of queer art and programming throughout the months of June and July

This showing of works and accompanying programs exhibit the experiences and perspectives of artists from many facets of the Kansas City LGBTQIA community, and provides a welcoming platform to share their stories with those in and outside of the queer community.

The opening reception will be Friday, June 15th, 5-9pm with work from 20 local LGBTQ artists and literary readings and spoken word performances happening from 7:30-8:30.

Help children with muscular dystrophy live without limits by donating to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and attending this family-friendly workout (13 and up please)! 

$25 registration fee includes t-shirt/tank if donated by June 1. All proceeds will be donated to the MDA to help send children to summer camp.
