Baker University has partnered with the state of Kansas to offer tuition discounts to state employees and their dependents.
“As the first university and the No.
1-ranked private university in Kansas, Baker is proud and excited to partner
with the state to offer our elite academic programming to state employees and
their families,” Dr. Jake Bucher, dean of Baker’s School of Professional and
Graduate Studies, said. “Baker and Kansas have been growing together for 150
years and we look forward to continuing serving this great state.”
Through the agreement, state
employees will receive a 20 percent tuition discount at Baker’s School of
Professional and Graduate Studies, a 10 percent discount for graduate
programs at the School of Education, and a 10 percent discount at the
School of Nursing. Additionally, state employees and their dependents are
eligible for a $2,000 annual tuition scholarship for undergraduate School
of Education and College of Arts and Sciences programs at Baker’s
residential campus in Baldwin City, Kansas.

about this partnership and the opportunities that it provides for state
employees and we look forward to working with an institution with such a rich
history and strong reputation as Baker University,” Kraig Knowlton, director of
the office of personnel services for the Kansas Department of Administration,
said.
State employees can learn more about the

link from the Department of Administration’s Office of Personnel Services or from the Office of Human Resources at individual state agencies.
On Friday, June 24, and Friday, July 8, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., representatives from Baker will be on the south steps of the Department of Administration building at 300 SW 10th St., Topeka, KS 66612.
