This foundation course introduces leaders to the essential interaction skills that are critical to leadership success. These Interaction Essentials are the core behaviors that leaders need to be effective in the many situations they handle on a daily basis, such as coaching, delegating, and driving change. Leaders will learn how to meet the personal and practical needs of their team members and how to communicate in order to spark action in others to achieve business results. They will also learn how to provide positive feedback that recognizes and motivates individuals and teams, as well as developmental feedback that helps others get back on track. This class is part of the Business Leadership Certificate. The on-campus DDI course is approved by HRCI and SHRM for 3.5 hours. Fee:$174

Heartland Soccer Association Inaugural 5K Run/Walk

Please join Heartland Soccer Association for our first annual 5K run!  Proceeds from the event will go to support youth soccer and creating healthy athletes.  Adults and kids alike can run or walk in this highly-anticipated event.  There will be music, vendors, including Kona Ice and KidZone Kansas City, and the awards’ ceremony following the 5K event.  We will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place top finisher awards for male/female participants, and age-based award categories, Male/Female; Ages 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-49, 50-69 and over 70. ALL participants will be awarded a medal upon crossing the finish line!
$30 – Register online June 1st -  June 18th
$35 – Register online June 18th - 30th  
$45 – Morning of event
*soccer teams receive $5 off per registrant!

                                   - July 8th -   Heritage Soccer Fields 6:30 - 7:30 am.

**Packet pick-up is mandatory:  Each packet will contain your bib# and timing piece, both of which are required for participation, event t-shirt, detailed event information and other goodies.   If you wait until after June 30th to register, you are not guaranteed a t-shirt and price will increase.

This event promises a great morning full of fun so bring the entire family to run, walk, push a stroller or whatever you need to do to be a part of this exciting day while giving back to our youth.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

This day-long seminar will cover the basics of starting a small business, including determining whether your idea is feasible, creating a business plan, choosing a legal entity, forming financial projections, marketing, developing a web presence, and bookkeeping. Guest presenters will include an attorney, a commercial banker, a credit expert and an accountant. Entrepreneurs will share their stories during a panel discussion with an opportunity for questions. This active learning module includes hands-on computer lab time. Box lunch is provided.
